It's competition time! Would you like the chance to take your family out to see the horses! Go in the draw to win one of three family passes (two adults & two children) to the National Clydesdale and Heavy Horse Festival.

NATIONAL CLYDESDALE AND HEAVY HORSE FESTIVAL 2026 COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. This competition is run by Wyndham City Council (‘Council’) in the state of Victoria, Australia only.  This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook or Instagram.
     
  2. By entering this competition, you agree to accept these terms and conditions of entry.  If your entry does not comply with these terms and conditions, it will not be valid and will not be accepted.
     
  3. Entry is restricted to Wyndham residents aged 18 years and over. Council staff, Councillors and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
     
  4. The competition opens at 8:00am on 7 January 2026 and closes at 8:00am on 14 January 2026 (‘competition period’).  Entries received outside of the competition period will not be accepted.
     
  5. To enter the competition, during the competition period, you must:

    a) ‘like’ the Visit Werribee and Surrounds Facebook or Instagram page and tag a friend in the comments on the competition post.
     

  6. Only one entry per person per social media platform will be accepted.  Entrants acknowledge and agree that if they submit an entry via both platforms, they will only be eligible for a maximum of one prize in the entire competition.
     
  7. Competition winners will be drawn at 12:00pm on 14 January 2026 by Council officers.  One winner will be drawn from all valid entries submitted via Facebook and two winners will be drawn from all valid entries submitted via Instagram.  There will be three winners in total who will each receive one family pass (two adults and two children) to the 2026 National Clydesdale and Heavy Horse Festival, to be held at the Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre on 17 and 18 January 2026 Tickets may be used to attend either, but not both days, of the festival.  Each ticket is valued at $15, and the total prize pool is valued at $90.
     
  8. Winners will be contacted by Facebook or Instagram and will subsequently be announced on the Visit Werribee and Surrounds Facebook page. Winners consent to the publication of their names for the purpose of announcing the competition winners.
     
  9. If a winner cannot be contacted by 5:00pm on 15 January 2026, Council may opt to conduct a further draw to determine a new winner.
     
  10. If a prize has not been claimed by 5:00pm on 16 January 2026, the winner will be deemed to have surrendered the prize, and Council may opt to conduct a further draw to award the unclaimed prize.
     
  11. Council may require a winner to provide evidence or their identity upon collection at the ticket box and entry into the event or that they live in Wyndham.  If there is a dispute as to the identity or residential address of a winner, Council reserves the right, in its entire discretion, to determine the identity or address of a winner.
     
  12. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
     
  13. Council accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, invalid or corrupt entries.
     
  14. If for any reason, this competition cannot be run as planned, Council reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
     
  15. Council reserves the right to change or modify these terms and conditions at any time.
     
  16. Council’s decisions are final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

Your personal information is being collected by Wyndham City Council to enable you to enter the National Clydesdale and Heavy Horse Festival Competition. Your information will be stored in Council’s Customer Database and used and disclosed in the administration of the competition. By entering the competition, you agree to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information as stated in the terms and conditions and your personal information will be handled in accordance with the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic).
