A much-loved tradition for Wyndham families, this free event features a packed program of activities for children of all ages, making it the perfect chance to come together as a community and create special memories.

Don't miss out on this amazing day of family fun!

Entry is free; however, a pre-booked ticket is required.
Free tickets will be available to book from 9am - Monday 12 October

TICKETS

Children's Week Picnic is a popular free event presented by Wyndham City Council.

To help us manage attendance and provide a safe, enjoyable experience for everyone, all attendees must have a free pre-booked ticket. Unfortunately, tickets will not be available at the gate and visitors without a ticket will not be able to enter.

Free tickets will be available to book from www.wyndham.vic.gov.au/childrensweekpicnic on Monday 12 October from 9am.

This event is very popular, and tickets can book out quickly, so be sure to set a reminder and secure yours early.

This year, we’re introducing ticketed entry times, with arrival windows available every hour. This helps us spread arrivals throughout the day, reducing queues and making it easier for you and your family to enjoy the event from the moment you arrive.

When booking your free tickets, simply choose an entry time between 10am and 2pm that best suits your family. Each entry window has limited capacity, so we recommend booking early if you have a preferred arrival time.

On the day, please aim to arrive as close to your selected entry time as possible to help minimise congestion and avoid delays at entry points.

Why have you introduced ticketed entry times?

We know how popular the Children’s Week Picnic is, and we want everyone to have the best possible experience on the day. Introducing ticketed entry times helps us manage arrival numbers throughout the event, reducing congestion at entry points, parking areas and activity zones.

What happens if my plans change or I am running late for my arrival time?

We know getting the kids organised and out the house can be one of the biggest adventures of the day! If life happens and you arrive a little earlier or later than your selected entry window, don't worry, you'll still be able to enter. We simply ask that you do your best to arrive within your chosen time to help us keep queues down and make the event more enjoyable for everyone.

How long can we stay after we arrive?

Once you've entered during your allocated entry window, you're welcome to stay and enjoy the event for as long as you'd like. The event finishes at 4pm.

What if I missed out on tickets?

You will have another opportunity to secure your tickets at a 2nd release at 9am on Wednesday 21 October. There will be no further tickets available following this 2nd release.

Can I show up if I don’t have a ticket?

Unfortunately, no. Tickets will not be available at the gate and visitors without a ticket will not be able to enter.

I can no longer attend the event, what do I do with my ticket/s?

Ticketholders who find they can no longer attend are kindly asked to cancel their booking via the Eventbrite ticketing platform so we can make tickets available to others.

EVENT ENTRY

Gates open at 9.30am. Tickets will be checked at entry gates.

Please bring your tickets and have them ready to show at the event entrance.

Please note that whilst gates will open at 9.30am, stage program and activities will commence from 10am.

Free children’s wristbands are provided prior to the event entrance and at the Information marquee. Parents or carers can write their phone number on the wristband and put around the wrist of their child.

This helps us to quickly reunite you with your child should they get lost during the event. Please ensure a phone number for a parent or carer who is at the event is written on the wristband.

We please ask that you supervise your children at all times.
