Autumn School Holidays

Get out of town and head to Werribee and Surrounds these school holidays from Friday 7 – Sunday 23 April 2023! At just 30 minutes from Melbourne, you can make it a bite-sized adventure and be home before the kids tire out or spend the whole day (and night) exploring.

Go on Safari and enjoy nature play activities at Werribee Open Range Zoo
A visit to Werribee Open Range Zoo is a must for families, with kids under 16 free during weekends, public holidays and the Victorian School Holidays.

These school holidays, Werribee Open Range Zoo will be running a Nature Play: Connect to Country program with the Bunurong Land Council and the team from Yilam with storytelling, music-making, pebble art and more included in entry. Book your zoo tickets.

Mini golf fun and Werribee Park Mansion
Plan a picnic and explore the and lush surrounds of Werribee Park, before heading to Wyndham Harbour for mini golf and playground fun at The Elements Coastal Activity Park . Take advantage of their Autumn school holiday family package with one round of mini golf (18 holes), coffee and shakes for a family of 5 for $49!

Go to the movies or try your hand at ten pin bowling
For a wet weather option, it’s hard to go past popcorn and a movie at Village Cinemas in Pacific Werribee or ten pin bowling, laser tag and bumper cars at Wyn City Bowl and Entertainment (open daily during the school holidays from 10am – 10pm).

Create your own masterpiece to take home
In Werribee City Centre, The Social Artist will be offering a family-friendly Lovely Llama painting session on Wednesday 12 April and a Paint Your Star Sign session on Sunday 23 April, while Pinot and Picasso will be running a Unicorn kids painting session on Wednesday 12 April and Bubble O Bill kids painting session on Wednesday 19 April.

Scoot, ride or walk your way along these top trails
Looking for a new walk or cycling route? Wyndham Park, Cheetham Wetlands and Wyndham Bay Trail are all great options for a family adventure, with shared off-road paths and shorter distances for little legs.

Explore Werribee and Surrounds’ top playgrounds
You could stay all day at Wyndham Park, with its adventure playground for older kids and nature playground for the little ones who love sensory play. Located in the heart of Werribee City Centre, it’s just a short stroll away from brunch, lunch, coffee or an ice cream from Augustus Gelatery.
