Autumn School Holidays

Get out of town and head to Werribee and Surrounds these school holidays from Friday 29 March – Sunday 14 April 2024! At just 30 minutes from Melbourne, you can make it a bite-sized adventure and be home before the kids tire out or spend the whole day (and night) exploring.

See Dinos at the Zoo
Something big has arrived at Werribee Open Range Zoo! Dinos at the Zoo features an incredible trail of large animatronic dinosaurs brought to life in the lush zoo setting.

Plus kids under 16 are free during weekends, public holidays and the Victorian School Holidays. Book your zoo tickets.

For eight nights only from 7 – 14 April you can also explore the River Trail after sundown with a mesmerising after-hours light show, in Dinos After Dark! Bookings essential.

Catch a show at Wyndham Cultural Centre
These school holidays Wyndham Cultural Centre will be hosting two fantastic shows for kids including Snowy and the Seven Cool Dudes on 8 April and hilarious acrobatic fun with Children Are Stinky on 12 April. Bookings essential.

Mini golf fun
Head to Wyndham Harbour for mini golf and playground fun at The Elements Coastal Activity Park. Registrations are now open for their MiniGolf Masters competition on 7 April, for ages Under 10 up to Adults! All ages welcome with prizes to be won.

Create your own masterpiece to take home
In Werribee City Centre,  Pinot and Picasso will be running three kids painting sessions including Easter fun with A Good Egg on 30 March, the ocean-inspired Crush on 4 April and the chance to create your very own dinosaur with Rex on 12 April.

Fabulous family festivals
Throughout the holidays Point Cook Town Centre will be buzzing with the Kaleidoscope festival series – free multicultural celebrations for the whole family. Enjoy an Easter-themed festival on 30 March, the Latino Festival  on 6 April and the Tamil Festival on 14 April.

Scoot, ride or walk your way along these top trails
Looking for a new walk or cycling route? Wyndham Park, Cheetham Wetlands and Wyndham Bay Trail are all great options for a family adventure, with shared off-road paths and shorter distances for little legs.

Explore Werribee and Surrounds’ top playgrounds
You could stay all day at Wyndham Park, with its adventure playground for older kids and nature playground for the little ones who love sensory play. Located in the heart of Werribee City Centre, it’s just a short stroll away from brunch, lunch, coffee or an ice cream from Augustus Gelatery.
