King’s Birthday Long Weekend

Melbourne International Three Day Event
Every June, the country’s best horse riders converge at Werribee Park for Victoria’s premier eventing competition
. The cross-country course winds its way through the grounds of Werribee Park Mansion, Victoria State Rose Garden and and the National Equestrian Centre. Catch all of the excitement from 8 – 12 June. Tickets essential, with general admission from $12.50 - $45. 
Note: Werribee Park Mansion and Grounds and the Victoria State Rose Garden will be closed to the general public on Sunday 11 June (open only to event spectators).

High Tea Fit for Royalty
Indulge at The Refectory on Sunday 11 June with a cosy Winter High Tea including smoked salmon and dill blinis, passionfruit and lemon meringue tartlets, and of course fresh scones (bookings essential)!

On Saturday and Sunday, you can also enjoy high tea in the plush surrounds of Joseph’s Dining in Lancemore Mansion Hotel Werribee Park, with bookings essential.

Cosy Stays
Enjoy a cosy weekend away at Holiday Inn Werribee, Quest or Lancemore Mansion Hotel Werribee Park. At Lancemore Mansion Hotel Werribee Park you can hibernate all weekend long, with onsite restaurant Joseph’s Dining, treatments from L.M. Spa or perhaps a rainy afternoon spent by the indoor heated pool. Bookings essential.

Cool Cars and Mini Golf
Admire a range of cars on show, chat to the owners and grab a coffee and bite to eat. This free Cars & Culture Victoria event on Sunday 11 June will also feature a DJ, prizes and special giveaways and dogs on lead are welcome. While you’re at the harbour, be sure to enjoy a round of mini golf at The Elements Coastal Activity Park.

Outdoor Adventures
Rug up and embrace the cooler days with a walk through Cheetham Wetlands or Werribee South Foreshore  and K Road Cliffs. Enjoy a long lunch and cellar door tasting at Shadowfax Winery (bookings essential) or enjoy a warming winter feast at 3030 Boulevard, Mama Lor Restaurant & Bakery or Bridge Hotel. Got kids on board? Spend the morning at Wyndham Park followed by hot chocolates and a child-friendly brunch at Wolf on Watton or Black Seed Café or try the delicious new sandwich shop, Tuckers.
