Discover the Victoria State Rose Garden
Step into a kaleidoscope of colour at the stunning Victoria State Rose Garden. Spanning six acres and showcasing over 5,000 roses, this internationally celebrated garden was the first outside Europe to receive the prestigious World Federation of Rose Societies Award for Garden Excellence.
Designed in the shape of a blooming rose, the garden is one of Victoria’s most breathtaking hidden treasures. November is the perfect time to visit, when the flowers are at their most vibrant. Entry is free, though donations are warmly welcomed to support the dedicated volunteers who lovingly care for the gardens.
Pack a picnic, indulge in a high tea at the nearby Lancemore Mansion Hotel Werribee Park, The Refectory Parlour or Wyndham Cache or enjoy a leisurely lunch at Shadowfax Winery just next door (bookings recommended).
Make a day of it by exploring the grand Werribee Park Mansion, taking a coastal walk or cycle to Wyndham Harbour, or discovering street art and café culture along Watton Street in Werribee City Centre. For green-thumbed visitors, The Garden Feast offers the perfect blend of brunch and nursery browsing.
