5,000 Roses in Bloom

Explore a kaleidoscope of colour at the beautiful Victoria State Rose Garden!

Spread over six acres and with 5,000 roses on display, this internationally acclaimed garden is the first garden outside of Europe to win the World Federation of Rose Societies Award for Garden Excellence.

Featuring garden beds landscaped into the shape of a rose in bloom, the Victoria State Rose Garden is one of the state’s best kept and most beautiful secrets.

November is the ideal time to visit, when the garden’s roses are in full bloom.

No bookings required- donation on entry is encouraged to help support the work of the garden volunteers, who maintain these spectacular grounds.

Take time to enjoy the gardens with a beautiful picnic hamper or decadent high tea from the nearby Lancemore Mansion Hotel Werribee Park, The Refectory Parlour or Wyndham Cache or stroll next door for lunch at Shadowfax Winery (bookings recommended).

While you’re in the area, soak up the history of Werribee Park Mansion, enjoy an easy coastal walk or cycle to Wyndham Harbour, or check out the street art and excellent coffee in Watton Street in Werribee City Centre.

Green thumbs should put The Garden Feast on their list to combine brunch with a nursery visit.
